1. Keep lubricated
After a period of use, the cheap high precision chuck will definitely become aging and dry, so the lubrication and maintenance of the chuck is very important. Incorrect or inappropriate lubrication methods will lead to problems such as weakened clamping force, poor clamping accuracy, abnormal wear and seizure, so the cheap high precision chuck must be lubricated regularly in the correct way.
2. Cheer up every day
The cheap high precision chuck also needs to be "oiled". Use a grease gun every morning to add molybdenum disulfide grease (black in color) to the chuck grease nipple. Generally, inject 3 to 5 times until the grease overflows from the end of the slide. .
3. Regular cleaning
Be sure to clean the chuck body and slide surface with an air gun or similar tool at the end of the operation.
4. Thorough cleaning
Under normal circumstances, the cheap high precision chuck should be completely disassembled for cleaning at least every 6 months to keep the sliding surface of the jaws clean and lubricated to increase the life of the chuck; but if cutting cast iron, it needs to be at least once or more every 2 months Clean thoroughly every time, check whether the parts are broken and worn, if the equipment is seriously worn, it needs to be replaced. After inspection, fully add lubricating oil before assembling.
5. Correct clamping
For different workpieces, different clamping methods must be used or special fixtures must be made. If the chuck pressure is abnormal, the cheap high precision chuck will be under high pressure, or the chuck will still clamp the workpiece after the machine is turned off, which will reduce the life of the cheap high precision chuck . Therefore, when the chuck gap is found to be too large, a new chuck must be replaced immediately.
6. Anti-rust
The use of cutting oil with anti-rust effect can prevent the internal rust of the chuck, because the rust of the cheap high precision chuck will reduce the clamping force, making it impossible to clamp the workpiece.
